A Weekend of Family Concerts
April 21 & 22
at Strong National Museum of Play®

Saturday, April 21: Family Concert by counter)induction
Enjoy a family-focused performance by counter)induction at Strong National Museum of Play on Saturday, April 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The award- winning, world-class chamber music ensemble, known for its daring musical programs, is committed to bringing contemporary music to new audiences. Considered a major force in contemporary music, the New York City-based group will present a dynamic and captivating program geared toward children and families. The concert is included with general museum admission fees. This concert is supported in part through a collaborative project with the Canandaigua Lake Chamber Music Festival with grant funding from The New York State Music Fund, established by the New York State Attorney General at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.

Sunday, April 22: Kids Performing for Kids
Some of Rochester’s most talented young musicians will perform at Kids Performing for Kids at Strong National Museum of Play on Sunday, April 22, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. You never know. . .one of these kids might go on to become an international star!

Known affectionately as the Cello Dweebs, the Hochstein Suzuki Cello Ensemble performs at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Following each show, audience members can try out a cello at the cello petting zoo and get an autograph from these talented fourth and fifth graders.

Listen to Broadway songs performed by students in Cara D’Emanuele’s musical theater classes at 2:00 p.m. These six students have performed at Geva Theatre Center, Blackfriars, and Rochester Children’s Theatre, as well as in community and school shows.

At 4:00 p.m., nine-year-old Fairport Youth Idol Aviella Winder sings songs from “Oliver,” “Annie,” and other shows.

All performances are included with general museum admission fees.

Adults $9.00; Seniors $8.00; Children (2–17) $7.00; Children younger than two free; Strong members free.
Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden™:
General Admission fee plus $3.00 per person for members and nonmembers; Children younger than two free.
