A World of Fun: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
at Strong National Museum of Play® January 15

Have A World of Fun when you celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Strong National Museum of Play® with music, dance, and craft activities on Monday, January 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Among the activities:
• Become a star! Take part in a play that puts a new twist on classic fairy tales. See how Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood spread peace among the animals of the forest. Interactive performances take place at 11:00 a.m., and 12:30, 2:00, and 3:30 p.m.
• Whirl your way around the world. Join hands with friends for festive circle dances that use phrases, chants, music, and movements from many traditions.
• Use teamwork to build a peace bridge from popsicle sticks or an arch from blocks.
• Add your own message of peace to a colorful community mural inspired by the images of children’s author Todd Parr (The Peace Book). Then gather ’round for inspiring readings of stories by Todd Parr and watch art come to life in episodes of “Todd World,” an animated television program for preschoolers that teaches about acceptance, tolerance, and diversity.

All activities are included with general museum admission fees.

Admission Fees
General Admission (does not include Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden™):
Adults $9.00; Seniors $8.00; Children (2–17) $7.00; Children younger than two free; Strong members free.
Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden™:
General Admission fee plus $3.00 per person for members and nonmembers; Children younger than two free.
