SteveSongs has been performing his unique brand of original songs for kids and their families for more than five years. Corigliano Quartet Family Concert, Thursday, August 16, 11:00 a.m. Hailed as one of today’s most exciting and dynamic young string quartets, the Corigliano Quartet has won the acclaim of audiences and critics across the United States. The quartet—which was founded in 1996 with the blessing of Pulitzer, Grammy, and Oscar winner John Corigliano—is dedicated to the presentation of new American music and has performed in many of the nation’s leading music centers including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. In this 45-minute, kid-focused concert, the group will play a string quartet by John Corigliano and invite the audience to actively explore the exciting textures and layers of the composition. The concert is included with general museum admission fees. It is supported in part through a collaborative project with the Canandaigua Lake Chamber Music Festival with grant funding from The New York State Music Fund, established by the New York State Attorney General at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.
