MAY 2008little bears

3 & 4 Bear Country Weekend—Meet a Berenstain Bear “in person,” and enjoy story readings and crafts every weekend throughout the month of May in conjunction with the exhibit The Berenstain Bears: Down a Sunny Dirt Road, produced by Strong National Museum of Play in partnership with the Berenstain Family. 5, 12, & 19 Mondays—Toddler Book Club. Readings of classic children’s tales at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. followed by music, movement, nature, or art activities. This month: Beary Fun Tales: Story readings and activities in conjunction with the new Berenstain Bears exhibit. Included with general museum admission fees.

14 Wednesday—Autism Spectrum Disorder Lecture Series, 7 p.m. Monthly series sponsored by Monroe County Special Children’s Services Providers. This month: “Improving Social Awareness and Interaction,” presented by Carol Markovics, Ph.D. For more information call 585-753-5437. Free.

14 Wednesday—Making American Music. 7:30 p.m. (Sold Out!)The Sinatra Era featuring The Gateswingers Big Band. A loving tribute to Frank and other
standard masters of the era. Tickets: $16 nonmember; $13 member.

Bound into the world of Clifford™ and other Birdwell Island residents from the books and PBSKIDS TV series. Pilot the ferry, serve up fish and chips, make music on Clifford’s Xylobone, and find buried treasure in T-Bone’s sandbox. Created by Minnesota Children’s Museum in partnership with Scholastic Entertainment, Inc. Included with general museum admission fees. Shake paws with Clifford “in person.”
