Don’t miss the only year-round indoor butterfly garden in Upstate New York.

Enter a lush rain-forest environment and walk among approximately 800 brilliantly-colored, free-flying tropical and native butterflies that flutter about (and may even land on shoulders or hands). A paved path leads guests through tropical foliage and two water features, including a cascading waterfall. Visit the chrysalis case and see emerging butterflies.

May is Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden Member Appreciation Month!

From May 1 through May 31, 2008, Strong members SAVE 50% on butterfly garden admission.

This special limited-time offer is exclusively for active Strong members only. Butterfly garden admission is regularly $3, but during May it is only $1.50 for members. Advance purchase is recommended and may be made by calling 585-263-2700.

Reduced Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is reduced to $2.00 during periods when the museum offers Matinee Admission.  
Matinee Admission is available from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Matinee Admission is not available on Fridays, weekends, holidays, or during school breaks.
Matinee Admission is not available from July 1 through Labor Day.  

Adult: $5.00 Matinee Admission + $2.00 butterfly garden admission = $7.00   
Senior: $4.50 Matinee Admission + $2.00 butterfly garden admission = $6.50   
Children ages 2-17: $4.00 + $2.00 butterfly garden admission = $6.00   
Children younger than age 2: FREE   

Timed Tickets Required - Advance Purchase Recommended

Due to limited capacity, entry to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is by timed ticket only. The last timed entry into the butterfly garden is at 20 minutes before closing on Monday through Thursday and on Saturday and Sunday. The last timed entry is at 5:40 p.m. on Friday. Call 585-263-2700 to purchase your tickets in advance.

Sunday, 12 noon to 5 p.m. (last timed entry at 4:40 p.m.)

Note: The Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is a tropical environment with temperature, humidity, and surface moisture normally associated with such a setting.
