“Eeuuhh!  Yuck!  GROSS!!!”

That’s the reaction of kids (and adults!) as they flock to museums across the country to experience the blockbuster exhibit based on the best-selling series of Grossology books authored by microbiologist Sylvia Branzei. The exhibit presents many of the characters and subject matter included in Branzei’s books.  It uses sophisticated animatronics and imaginative displays to tell you the good, the bad, and the downright ugly about runny noses, body odor, and much more. Kids will love the “gross stuff” and parents will appreciate the scientific explanations.

Grossology helps guests of all ages better understand how the human body works, and what we can do to help it function better and in a more healthful manner.

PLEASE NOTE: Words such as “snot,” “boogers,” “barf,” “puke,” and “fart” appear in Grossology. nose-plumber

Here are a few exhibit highlights:

Nigel Nose It All – Activate this 9-foot animatronic figure to learn about the nose, and allergies, sinuses, dripping, and more.

Skin Climbing Wall – Discover the features of human skin as you climb across this wall complete with warts, wounds, hair, moles, and pimples.

Burp Man – Help this larger-than-life character belch by pumping soda pop from a three-foot can to make him drink and increase his stomach pressure.

Vomit Center – Learn the many reasons humans vomit by pressing buttons and watching the body parts light up.

Y U Stink – Pee-yew!  Match the body odors with the parts of the body they come from: mouth, armpits, lower intestines, and feet.

The Grossology exhibit is a collaboration between Science World, Advanced Exhibits, a division of Advanced Animations, LLC, and Grossology author Sylvia Branzei.
